Jay: ... Huff.
Lily: You seem tired, Jay.
Jay: Oh, instructor Lily? Thanks to the job you introduced to me every day is exciting.
Lily: Fufu, I'm glad to hear that. A Super Hero having too much time on his hands is a waste after all.

So, how's the training going?
Jay: I'm struggling, but it's worth teaching those two.
They had excellent skills and the will to improve themselves from the start. It's not that big of a deal, but they also accept my advice without argument.
Gast is on a roll and Ren is also coming out of his slump. They're both improving, so look forward to the competition or the next time you're assisting them on technical matters.
Lily: Sure... I can hardly wait.
Jay: North Sector itself seems to get along better than I expected, actually.
It looks like Marion has had quite the change of heart. Ren sounded like he was particularly attached to him.
Though he can't bring himself to be honest with Gast, who is a rookie just like him.
Lily: I've always thought Ren wasn't the type to openly express his feelings, but... is he like that only to Gast?
Jay: I can't exactly tell since I've hardly ever seen him talk with the other rookies, but...
It seems he can't bring himself to meekly heed to what Gast says. However, he accepts what is pointed out to him and tries to fix it on his own.
It could be a thing among the rookies. My rookies get along just fine, so it's refreshing when I see Gast and Ren.
Well, I do feel like the relationship between those two will improve... little by little.
ー A few days later.

Gast: I'm home~
Wh- Marion? How unusual to see you in the living room at this hour.
Marion: I- It's just a coincidence. There's a program I wanted to watch, so...
......
How is training going?
Gast: Hm?
Marion: Your training for the shooting competition. I heard you asked Jay to coach you for the pair competition.
Jay has never taught me, so... What kind of training are you doing? Are you making progress?
Gast: Yeah, Ren and I have both improved a lot. I was worried about what'd happen at first, but...
Jay sure is amazin', ya know. Didn't strike me as someone who can use a gun, but he's handled it great.
He also answers the many questions Ren and I have, he's really a godsend.
Marion: ......... Hmpf, looks like it's going well.
Gast: Jay's also a really nice dude. Like, he gives us donuts during breaks.
He prepared savory donuts for Ren and it seems he liked them. Right, I should ask him the name of the shop next time.
Marion: ...... So long as you're having fun.
Gast: Hm? Aincha kinda grumpy now?
Marion: Not really. Why should I be? I don't get you.
Gast: Haha, I guess you're right.
Marion: ......
I should have looked after them myself, even if it meant overworking... no, there are things I need to do...
Gast: What's up, Marion?
Marion: Gh, nothing!
You're practicing, so that means there's no need to worry about committing a blunder like the other day.
Is teamwork with Ren also going well?
Gast: Mnn~ It's decent, I guess...
Keep this a secret from Ren, but, ya know... a thing I said put him in a bad mood...
Marion: Did you say unnecessary things again?
Gast: I didn't mean to... I just pointed out he had this habit. 't was supposed to be bit of simple advice...
Marion: I see, a piece of advice, huh... I understand Ren's feelings perfectly.
Gast: Hm?
Marion: And? What happened to Ren?
Gast: We've been on shaky terms for a few days but looks like Jay acted as a go-between for me... so lately we've been able to work together a little.
Marion: ... Did you understand the reason why Ren was offended?
Gast: That I dunno... I really just wanted to give him advice...
I ain't planned to whistle a different tune with Ren, I was just going to treat him the same way I treat the guys and Akira...
Marion: ... You really don't get it.
Gast: ?
Marion: Nevermind.
Gast: T- The heck...?
