Bianchi: (Haah~ I did it......
This is a pretty wide area, it took way longer than I thought it would. The sun is already starting to set.
Cleaning with no distractions is so rewarding, though, I feel so accomplishedー)

Jude: "If you want to go, you should definitely go. Life is a one-time deal, and you should embrace every challenge, no!?"

Bianchi: (... I thought I was over it, but it came back to me.
That was probably the first time I ever opened up about something like that to anyone besides the teacher.
I didn't even tell the teacher that muchー)

Jude: Good job, Bianchi.

Bianchi: Jude...
Wait... HUUH!?
What 'good job'! What happened to your leg! It's bleeding!?

Jude: ...?

Bianchi: How come you haven't noticed!? What could have happened to make it like this!?

Jude: Oh, glass or something fell down. I should probably pick it upー

Bianchi: Kh, before that! Take care of your injury!

Jude: ... From what I can see, it seems fine to just leave it be. But I guess I should at least stop the bleeding.

Bianchi: W- What are you saying?

Bianchi: ーHow is it? Did the bleeding stop? I found a glass shard that looks like it could be the reason, so I picked it up.

Jude: Sorry... Thank you, Bianchi.

Bianchi: Nevermind that, what about your injury?

Jude: It's fine.

Bianchi: Really? That looks like it hurts...

Jude: I don't feel any pain.

Bianchi: ... Huh?

Jude: I've never experienced pain since I was born.
I'm not just making this up, there's a condition called congenital insensitivity to pain.
I can't make judgments based on pain, but since this happens a lot, I can usually tell how serious an injury is.
So, it's all good.

Bianchi: Seriously, what do you mean it's all good!?
Is it really okay to become a hero in that state? Isn't it a job where you're constantly at risk of getting hurt!?
 Jude: That's why it's fine.

Bianchi: ...?

Jude: Living in constant danger... means I get to feel that thrill and tension, no? For me, it's the best job ever. That's why I wanted to be a hero.

Bianchi: That's the reason…?

Jude: Is that weird?
Well, if you were born with this contidion, it makes sense to steer clear of danger. But since I grew up hearing things like, 'You must not do this' and 'This is dangerous,' I can't keep my urges in check at all.
My parents did a terrible job raising me.

Bianchi: ... So, you decided to enroll in the Academy even with their objections?

Jude: Pretty much. I was still at an age where I needed my parents' approval.
They cried and begged me to stop, but it was better than when I said I wanted to become a mercenary.

Bianchi: A m- mercenary...?

Jude: Not too long ago, I took a break from the Academy to head to the battlefield. The Academy turned out to be way more boring than I expected.
When I brought that up, my parents were practically foaming at the mouth and nearly passed out.

Bianchi: ......
