Nico: ... A robe and a mask that hides your whole face, isn't that a bit too sketchy?
Akira: Yo, I heard you're an old friend of the master. How long have you been living here?

Ren: ... I heard from the master's son that you only go out on Friday the 13th. Is that true?
Man with a creepy mask: ......
Akira: I got to check out your room, but what's up with the rope and machete?
Man with a creepy mask: ......
Gray: U- Um...
Man with a creepy mask: ......
Gray: N- Nevermind...
Nico: At least just tell us what were you doing when the incident happened?
Man with a creepy mask: ... Resting in my room.
Nico: ... They're all suspicious, you were right.
Akira: Right? Feels like everyone is guilty, ain't it?
Nico: Trying to figure this out from their motives seems like a lost cause.

But I can't tell if it's going to be of any use. The events occurring in this mansion are outside the norms of detective fiction.

Ren: Absolutely, when it comes to mystery, you really shouldn't add any supernatural elements or characters with unique powers.
This means that heroes and substances probably fit into that group.
While substances are familiar to many, we don't really know a lot about how they work yet.
Gray: Now that you mention it... if we used our powers, it would turn into a hero story rather than a mystery...
Ren: Exactly. So, conventional methods wouldn't hold up.
Nico: I see.
Akira: Heh, I get it now, that's how it is ♪

Akira: I noticed you're unusually cheerful, you must be thrilled to act like a detective, huh?
