Event Story – Pull up! Potato Party!! ch. 2

Licht: I've never tried it... I might not be able to do it well...
I could be getting in your way...
Will: ... You're fine. You don't need to worry about that.
Getting down and dirty with everyone is super fun! And those veggies from Récolte Farm are just so sweet and tasty! ♪
I’ll show you the right way to dig up the sweet potatoes, and, just so you know, there are other kids who are new to this too!
Licht: Really...?
Will: Absolutely. If you want to, I hope you come over and enjoy yourself without any worries.
Licht: ... I think I might want to try that out.
Sage: Hehe, is it okay if we both join in, Will-kun?
Will: Yes, of course! ♪
And, if possible, could I ask you to help with chaperoning the kids too?
Sage: Chaperoning?
Will: Récolte Farm's veggies are known for being big and delicious, but sometimes little kids struggle to pull them out.
Sage: That big?
Will: You'd be surprised. Last time we went, I had to ask Oscar-san and Marion-san for help to pull out a turnip.
Sage: Wow, that's really something!
Will: That's why I'm looking for someone to help me with chaperoning.
Sage: Well, I've never tried digging sweet potatoes either...
Licht: ... You should be fine, you're strong after all. You always help me open the jam jar...
Will: Fufu, it's pretty tough, right? I remember struggling to open it when I was a kid, too...
Licht: I'm still struggling now...
Sage: Licht-kun gave me a shout-out, so if you think I'm a good fit, I'll lend a hand.
Will: Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.
Okay, I'll inform them that you and Licht-kun will be joining us.
Also, the chaperones are supposed to go over the day's plan ahead of time, so I'll get in touch once the meeting date is set.
Sage: Alright, thank you.
Let's dig up a lot of sweet potatoes, Licht-kun!

Lily: So, that's the plan for the day.
Many children who regularly use the kids' space and their guardians will be joining in this time.
It would be great if you could help the farm staff to ensure the sweet potato digging experience and the tasting party go well.
Well, with this group, there's nothing to stress about. I can attend my daughter's school event without any stress.
Jay: Leave it to us. We'll make it a fun sweet potato digging event!
Lily: Yes, I’m counting on you.
Sage & Will: Yes!
Sage: Still, I'm a bit surprised. Who knew Jay-san would also be a chaperone!
Lily: I made the call on this one. There's nobody like him, am I right?
Sage: Absolutely! The kids are definitely going to be thrilled!
Jay: I was really torn about what to do at first. But then my son Benji said he wanted to go, so I decided to go for it.
Will: Oh, so you're coming with your son ♪ We'll make sure you have some time together while we're chaperoning the group.
Jay: Thanks, I appreciate it, but it seems that Benji has his sights set on something else this time.
Will: Oh, really?
Jay: Yeah. Benji wanted to go because Licht told him about the sweet potato digging event, apparently.
He's super thrilled to pull up a whole bunch of sweet potatoes with Licht! ♪
Sage: Please thank Benji-kun for always looking out for Licht-kun on my behalf, Jay-san!
Jay: Oh, come on, it's actually me who should be thanking you. He seems to be enjoying himself with Licht, he looks pretty happy.
