Will: ーI see. So Oscar-san is the one who took that sword from the lab.
Nova: It seems he was already in a confused state at the time.
Akira: And? What's happened to him?
Brad: With what information we have at the moment, it's tough to say.
All I can say is that the situation appears to be different than it was when Dino was brainwashed.
Akira: And what does that mean...?
Brad: Oscar cannot wield a sword in such a way. In other words, it's like something is taking over his body.
Akira: ...?
Nova: Let's put it this way: if you were brainwashed and ordered to attack me, wouldn't you use your ability like you always do? You wouldn't go out of your way to use a blade you can't use, would you?
And yet, Oscar-kun is wielding a sword, something he is unfamiliar with.
That suggests he hasn't been brainwashed; rather, something has taken control of his body.
Akira: I see. Though, if you were the target, there would be no need for my ability.
Nova: Haha, based on the analogy I just made, that would be indeed the case~
Brad: There's one more thing...
I'm that Oscar's target.
Will: Huh? How can you tell?
Akira: Maybe he was just looking for the easiest one to beat.
Nove: Wouldn't that be me in that case?
Brad: In that confused state, he said, "Kill master."
The detective said "the sword that kills its owner," but "the sword that kills its master" would be more accurate.
In truth, the murderous intent I felt when I received the blade was only focused at me.
Will: And that's why you said he wouldn't put the citizens in danger.
Brad: Yes. In fact, he didn't lash out at you two or Dr. Nova.
Will: If anything is taking over Oscar.san, it's most likely due to the curse of the enchanted sword, right...?
Akira: Don't forget what happened to the thieves' boss.
Brad: What do you think, Dr. Nova?
Nova: Hmm... right. The sword was stolen before I could examine it, so I cannot say for certain but...
I believe Oscar-kun's current state is the result of a substance.
Akira: Not 'cause of a curse?
Nova: I don't think the two are necessarily unrelated.
Some substances have the ability to cause psychic phenomena. Such things aren't out of the ordinary in New Million.
Try to recall the commotion made by ghost disturbances at the museum that Dino and his team solved on Halloween, or Jay-san and his team's pirate ship in a state of disarray?
Will: True, it's not completely impossible.
Nova: That's why I'm going to look into the substance you retrieved more thoroughly. I'm optimistic we'll be able to figure something out.
Brad: Understood. Please examine the substance as soon as possible then.
Nova: I'll start right away~
Is what I'd like to say, but Vic is currently on vacation, it'll probably take more than usual... but I'll do the best I can.
Brad: Given the time of year, there is little we can do about it.

Will: We'll assist Oscar-san until paid leave.
Akira: Alright!!!
Ssso, what should we do?
Brad: I want you to look for Oscar. If possible, keep an eye on him as well.
Inform the other heroes to contact you if they see him.
Will: We're not asking them to help?
Brad: Yes. If at all possible, I would like to fix this problem by ourselves.
... If something were to happen, Oscar would be plagued by the thought that he had wounded an ally when he came to.
Nova: Dino-kun agonized about that, too...
Will: I don't really want to see Oscar-san suffer...
Akira: I'm gonna beat him to his senses.
Brad: Of course, if we deem Oscar harmful, we will take harsh measures.
Until then, all the information and searches on this matter will be kept to a minimum. I hope you will act with that in mind as well.
Will: Understood.
Akira: What are you gonna do, Brad?
Brad: I will look into the materials pertaining to the enchanted blade... Something tells me there may be a lead there.
Akira: Hmpf. Leave Oscar to us then.
Alright! Let's go look for him, got no time to waste!
Will: Right. Although it's already dark outside.
Brad: Focus on looking around the less frequented areas.
Akira: Why?
Brad: Oscar left on his own volition. In light of that, he will most likely go to a place devoid of people where he won't have to worry about hurting anyone.
Will: I see. Then he could be wandering around Red South's back alleyways or Million Park.
Akira: Got it, let's go Will!
Will: Yeah! We're leaving, Brad-san!
Brad: Yes, I counting on you.
